Call for papers
Topics of Interest
We invite researchers to submit short papers that present recently published work, preliminary results, ongoing work, and demos relevant to the workshop’s theme. Submissions will undergo a review process by the organizers, with acceptance based on the quality, originality, and relevance to the topics of the workshop.
The topics of interest focus on the algorithmic and practical challenges of combining model-based and learning-based approaches for contact-rich manipulation, specifically including (but not limited to):
- Contact simulation and approaches to addressing sim2real gaps with pervasive contact in practice
- Reinforcement learning and imitation learning for contact-rich dexterous manipulation
- Contact models and their roles in increasing efficiency and performance of policy learning
- Advances in optimization and learning through hybrid and multi-modal contact dynamics
- Reactive control and planning for robustness to expected or unexpected contact events
- Manipulation with soft and deformable objects, utilizing compliance and softness in contacts
- Representation learning and higher-abstraction models for long-horizon manipulation through contact sequences
- Bridging perception and tactile sensing with downstream planning and control with contact
All accepted papers will be presented as posters during the interactive session and will be archived publicly on the workshop website with the authors’ permission. Selected spotlight papers will have an additional short contribution talk session.
